The Foxhunters

These are just a few of the new faces at Old Burchard Manor. From left to right, we have Red charger, Yorkshire, Oh Mistress My Mistress, Dressed In Blue To Woo, and Smokin' Chimney. 

Yorkshire is our shortest Cob, at about 15.3 hands. Red Charger is an even 16, Mistress 17.3, Blue at 17.5, and Smokin' at a huge 18. Charger is a first flight girl, along side Smokin' and Mistress. These three are guaranteed to jump any jump and keep you at the front of the hunt. Mistress is a tired and true hunter, great manners for any rider wanting to get a taste of the front action. Charger is a bit impatient and requires a firmer handed rider, otherwise she'll overtake the huntsman and although she enjoys the runs, she may refuse a jump. Smokin' usually takes up the rear in the first flight pack. Not as energetic as the rest, but always does as asks and never makes mistakes.

Yorkshire and Blue, however, are the second flighters in this pic. Yorkshire doesn't have a problem with the hunt, and should technically be in First Flight because of her skill level, but she just doesn't have the wind for it. Blue, meanwhile, doesn't like the frenzy that comes with First flight, and is much more comfortable being in the calmer setting second flight provides. he'll jump anything and he's got great manners, but he just doesn't like the noise of the hounds.
