Third Annual Kriege Breed Show

Welcome to Once In A Blue Moon Stables and the Third Annual Kriege Breed Show. This a returning show and we're looking for an excellent turn out. New classes and events have been added and were hoping that the boom within the community will bring in lots of competition and make this show the best yet!


RULES:

1. Only Krieges may participate in the conformation event.
2. Your image must be full body, but a background is not required. It will get you extra points though and put you in a higher slot than a picture with no background.
3. Shading is not required for any entry, but will earn you extra points. It will also guarantee you a higher spot than a picture with no shading.
4. Handlers do not have to be shown but showing a handler will gain you extra points.
5. Dogs aged 2 years and up can enter.
6. Real and other created breeds may enter the working classes.
7. Preregistration is not required.
8. Remember to read all descriptions of events and scenery. Do not assume climate or weather.
9. Please make a separate entry for each of your dogs. This is not a mini show, so every dog should get it's own picture and attention. Laziness will not be rewarded.


WEATHER: Weather for all outdoor classes is generally nice. It will be chilly, as snow will have fallen the previous few nights but it will not be unbearable. No wind. Can be lightly snowing if you wish to be creative. The Dressage arena will be cleared for the convenience on the show. the Sleigh ride route will not be cleared since handlers and dogs are riding in sleighs and they need the snow to help with movement.

INDOOR ARENA: The indoor arena has beige sand footing and wood walls. The arena is placed horizontally on our property. There are two large doors on both short ends of the building, but there are no windows within the building. The north facing wall has seating and the judges table.



CLASSES:

Kriege Only Conformation:

- Deutsche Pferd Hund Des Krieges Only. No dogs bellow 24 months may enter, as this is not a puppy class. Dogs will be judged on their gait or overall conformation is stacked. I will be checking for the correct grooming for each type and the owner who is nit picky will probably have the highest score. No grease, sprays, or conditioners may be applied to the coat or face to enhance markings, appearance, or hair quality. Any Krieges with a cut mane will be disqualified from the ring. This event will be held in the Dressage arena. The arena has beige sand and the Dressage fence is white. Please use appropriate show collars for this event.

*Note: A dressage fence is low to the ground and is only one bar. It is WHITE, not brown.


Schutzhund:

- Dogs will be judged on their attentiveness, focus, and drive. Only dogs that have proven to be excellent in the sport will be allowed to enter, which means no Chihuahuas or other non guard breeds will be in the ring. Dogs that are large enough to successfully compete in this event, and have proven themselves capable, are allowed to enter. Dogs who exhibit shyness or refusal to attack/perform will be disqualified. The event will take place inside our indoor riding arena. Touching the dog will lead to disqualification.


Show Jumping:

-This sport will judge a dog's speed, grace, and agility. Dogs will be asked to complete a course of high jumps, similar to that of show jumping for horses. Dogs that knock down the fewest bars and have the quickest time will be awarded as the winner. Handlers cannot touch dogs or help them over the jumps. Any dog that refuses a jump or goes around a jump 3 times is disqualified and the score card will be void. This event will be held inside our indoor arena. All medium breeds and up may participate.

*Note: Users may create their own jumps. Water jumps will not be present in this event.


Ring Sport:

-Similar to Schutzhund, dogs in this class must be able to perform personal protection skills, but will also be required to scale a hurdle and perform obedience commands. Only dogs that can compete in Schutzhund may compete in Ring Sport.


All photos allow dogs to gain a title in whatever sport they participate in. Placings will be given out as first through fourth.
